6-10kV系列金屬氧化物避雷器(以下簡稱MOA)是用于保護(hù)6-10kV電力系統(tǒng)的輸變電電站設(shè)備、電容器組免受大氣過電壓和操作過電壓損壞的保護(hù)電器。它具有體積小、重量輕、密封好、通流容量大、非線性好等優(yōu)點(diǎn)。
該系列MOA內(nèi)部采用非線性的金屬氧化物電阻片作為核心元件,它具有優(yōu)異的伏安特性。當(dāng)系統(tǒng)出現(xiàn)大氣過電壓或操作過電 壓時(shí),電阻片呈現(xiàn)低電阻,使MOA的殘壓被限制在允許值以下,同時(shí)吸收過電壓能量,從而對(duì)電力設(shè)備提供可靠的保護(hù)。在MOA的正常運(yùn)行電壓下,電阻片呈高電阻,使流過MOA的電流很小,起到與系統(tǒng)絕緣隔離的作用。

MOA at normal operating voltage, the varistor resistance was high, the current flowing through the small MOA, the system plays the role of the insulating spacer.
